Welcome to Richmond-Tweed Regional Library, established in 1971, which provides a comprehensive free public library service to four Local Government Councils in the Northern Rivers Region on the Far North Coast of NSW: Ballina Shire Council, Byron Shire Council, Lismore City Council, and Tweed Shire Council, through twelve Branches and a Mobile Library
Library membership is free to all residents, please check this website to identify your nearest library and its opening hours – all branches are open on Saturday mornings, two are open on Sunday afternoons, and one on Saturday afternoon. Many branches are also open in the evenings – so why not come in to join. We have something for everyone, from board books for babies, the latest novels for children and adults, informational and instruction books (including vehicle workshop manuals) cds, dvds and videos for the whole family, to Large Print Books and audio resources for the sight-impaired. We also provide free storytime sessions for children, ‘babybounce’ sessions, and internet training sessions for all.
Our Mission Statement is: The Richmond-Tweed Regional Library aims to enrich our community by providing and promoting access to quality library materials and services in a responsive friendly environment.
