Byron Bay Library is located on the corner of Lawson and Fletcher Streets in Byron Bay. This building was opened as the Library in March, 1995. It is very small but still provides a comprehensive library service, with a stock of over 27,000 items. We have recently extended the Children’s Area to encourage more children to use the Library, and to attend our regular Storytime session each Wednesday at 10.30am.
Byron Shire Council is currently planning a new 1500M2 Library on the corner of Lawson and Middleton Streets, just one block along Lawson Street from our current site.
Byron Bay Library is supported by an active group of Library Friends - more information about the Friends and how to become a member at www.byronbayfol.com, or email
