One-on-One Tech Lessons

If you are having trouble understanding how your phone, tablet or smart device works, or if you would like help with basic computer functions for your home PC, our staff can help.  We can help with familiarising you with the functions on your device, using social media such as Facebook, Messenger and Email, and with basic office programs such as Microsoft Word.  We can also show you how to change the settings on your device and explain how to connect to WiFi and use your hotspot.  We can even show you how to take photos on your smartphone and how to view them.  If you feel you would like some basic training, phone the library today and ask if our Tech Team can help you.  Our Free Tech Lessons are one-on-one sessions tailored to your needs. The Tech Team is available by appointment only.

Wednesday Craft Group

If you enjoy working on fabric projects, we have the perfect group for you!  Knitting, crochet, patchwork and cross stitch.  Come along for a relaxed cuppa and a chat.  Bring whatever you are working on.  We do both combined community projects and our own work during these mornings.  Instruction and assistance provided if required.

If you would like some help with your phone, tablet or laptop, or if you would like assistance understanding aspects of email and Facebook on your PC, help is at hand!  The Tech Team will now be at Goonellabah Library every Wednesday.  Book an appointment for a one-on-one session tailored specifically to your needs.  We can help you understand the functions on your device such as taking and storing photos, getting on Facebook and downloading Apps.   Don't sit at home tearing your hair out!   Phone the library today and book your personalised session.  (Tech Team available by appointment only.)

MyGov Workshop

A simple and secure way to access government services online.  This workshop at Lismore Library offers assistance to set up an account.   An account allows you to lodge information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  You can link to member services such as Medicare.  You can also report income and magae superannuation.  Staff from the Department of Human Services will be available to assist you.
